Company Description

VisiMax was founded in 1999 with a vision of building a precision thin film optical coating service company dedicated to serving commercial and industrial markets with economical, rugged, and effective optical coatings.

In 2010, VisiMax was acquired by new owners. Under the leadership of Brian Murphy and Richard Hunter, VisiMax found a renewed focus on consistency, process, and customer commitment. VisiMax expanded its Northwest Ohio facility to a full 12,000 square feet, employing elite, computer-controlled, high-volume coating systems.

VisiMax partners with instrumentation, optical systems, display, and lighting designers and manufacturers to design and apply durable optical coatings that meet spectral performance specifications from near-IR to mid-UV using physical vapor deposition technology. From the development of prototypes to the manufacture of coatings at commercial volumes, the VisiMax team works closely with its customers to understand their performance requirements every step of the way.

VisiClear anti-reflection coatings are used in many different applications, across a wide variety of industries and across the globe. Select from an assortment of VisiClear options: VisiClear for glass, VisiClear for plastic, and high-performance VisiClear Ultra BBAR™ (broad band anti-reflection).

VisiClear AR coatings withstand extreme environmental conditions. When used in combination with optional VisiMax process protective coatings, VisiClear coatings provide extraordinary abrasion, moisture, and soil resistance.

beam splitters Ebeam splitters from VisiMax Technologies

VisiMax process beam splitter coatings are designed to address specific reflection and transmission ratios, wavelengths, angles of incidence (AOI), and polarization states, as well as conform to the index and temperature sensitivities of specific optical component materials. VisiMax can design beam splitter coatings for most optical materials including glass, plastics, molded polymer optics, and semiconductor materials. While VisiMax routinely handles many standard beam splitter designs such as 50/50, 60/40, and 70/30 R/T ratios, we can also design custom coatings to meet the particular requirements of your optical system.

VisiMax offers a wide range of optical coating products, including anti-reflection coatings, optical filters and mirror and beam splitter coatings. They can be applied to most optical materials including glass, plastics, molded polymer optics, and semiconductor materials. We also produce protective vacuum-applied or dip-applied coatings for adding extra durability to your optical components.

VisiMax produces dielectric reflective coatings for optical components requiring low absorption and very high reflectance properties. They are used for instrumentation, optical systems, displays and lighting systems.

VisiMax metal mirrors are available both as first and second surface mirrors. For many applications, the reflectivity of the metal can be further enhanced by adding dielectric overcoat layers; these hybrid coatings are known as enhanced metal mirrors. For applications requiring additional hardness or oxidation stability, protected metal mirrors can be made, which are overcoated with a single dielectric layer.

VisiMax process reflective coatings & mirror coatings include the application of metal coatings such as aluminum, silver, and chromium, apart from non-conductive dielectric reflective coatings.

Metal mirrors are available both as first and second surface mirrors. For many applications, the reflectivity of the metal can be further enhanced by adding dielectric overcoat layers; these hybrid coatings are known as enhanced metal mirrors.
