Where to Buy Semiconductor Saturable Absorber Mirrors
Semiconductor saturable absorber mirrors (SESAMs) have become very common for passive mode locking of lasers, mostly solid-state lasers. Passive Q switching is also possible, e.g. with microchip lasers. SESAMs can be made for different operation wavelengths and other parameters such as modulation depth, saturation fluence, operation bandwidth and recovery time. Therefore, they can be used for a wide range of lasers, covering huge pulse parameter regions.
